Also, if you do become a leader I suggest when cookie season comes looking into policies at stores around you? My mom found out (this was years ago mind you) that the local Walmart would match our sales and we made bank and were able to go on some really cool trips!!

My mom took over when our original leader just up and left, if I recall there should be a local council that oversees the Girl Scouts in your area that okays someone to be a leader. They help oversee big stuff: camps, cookies, trips, etc. My mom gave us a lot of options for fun stuff to do but also made it a safe environment (no bullying, be your personal best kinda attitude), which I think really helped us in the long run. A lot of folks need what you could bring to the table. Good luck!!
