The thing is, I don’t think what the racial nationalists want is racism as a terminal value. I think for most of them, there are other things that they want, and they see having an [ethnicity]-only country as the only practical or effective way to achieve these things.
This is why I believe most of them can eventually leave racial nationalism, if we work towards making the conditions right, which requires a bunch of stuff we should be doing anyway even if there were no racial nationalists.

This is sort-of what I have gathered by observing them.
I think we can imagine the racial nationalists as existing on a spectrum of radicalization, with many of those on the lighter end of the spectrum buying into a kind of “grim determination” mindset over the failures of governments to practice multicultural policy properly, the conditions in various other countries, genetics, and so on.
Also, many of them are not in all that healthy of a place, mentally or socially.
As we get into the heavier end of the spectrum, I think, we’ll find more of pure hatred, high intuitive ingroup/racial attachment, and aesthetics.
How has being a minority worked out for white people in other countries, particularly ones where they had previously been in power? What are countries that are majority Islamic like, what sorts of laws do they pass, and how do they treat ethnic minorities? If there were genetic differences beyond appearance, and this had a potential impact on policy, would governments even acknowledge or do anything about it?
And it isn’t like concerns over ethnicities attaching to politics is a new idea, or a uniquely white one. It’s something Lee Kwan Yew brought up as one of the challenges of Singapore - that in a sufficiently multiracial society, people would vote by their religion and race.
Some of this can also be driven by personal experience that clashes with the official party line.
They can then reinforce their position internally by using the Left’s own implicit ethnopol/identity politics against itself. Every instance of left-wing lies, cover-ups, or hypocrisy is potential fuel.
I believe that I can answer most of their challenges and gradually turn some of them away from white nationalism. (We all know how much trouble white nationalism has been in the past, and it’s almost nonsensical in the morphological freedom future looming over the horizon - which is why I futurist shitposted about Richard Spencer becoming Chinese. If Nationalism depends on race, there is no way it will survive to 2200 unless civilization is nearly destroyed.)
I think a lot of the Left/Liberals have trouble answering the challenges within the boundaries of their ideology.
Although on the more liberal area of the spectrum, there has been some success with just… black dudes befriending some of these guys. Definitely not morally obligatory, though, yikes, that risk.
